Time to Lose Calculator

When you know what your target weight is, you can estimate the time it will take to lose your excess body fat safely and without compromising your lean mass.

The calculator below asks for your current weight and target weight. With that information you learn the number of pounds of fat you need to lose and approximate number of calories you need to burn to eliminate that body fat. The calculator then estimates the time required to accomplish that fat loss using aggressive techniques (1% per week), moderately aggressive techniques (½% per week), and fairly relaxed techniques (¼% per week).

To give you a real-world approximation of this caloric burn, the calculator displays three common activities and tells you about how many hours are required to burn off the excess fat calories using those activities.
